My favorite Disney resort is Disney's Boardwalk Resort! It has such an old school romantic, summer-by-the-shore vibe and I can't get enough of it! When Caty contacted me about a family photo session at Disney's Boardwalk Resort while visiting the Disney parks for Baby H's first birthday, I was all in! During our session, we were able to walk around and explored the Beach Club Resort and the Boardwalk Resort. Both properties are so close to each other and the bridge is super easy to access and cross so the photo possibilities were endless!
A family photo session at Disney's Boardwalk Resort means you're getting a colorful session! The pinks, creams, blues, and greens keep the session light and soft. We scheduled our session for sunset, so although that did mean it was a bit busier with people out enjoying their evening while visiting the shops and having dinner, we got to experience the resort with the string lights glowing in the background. Again, I'm obsessed with this resort!

One of the best parts of these resorts is the location and how easily you can get there from other parts of Disney. The easiest way to get there is from Epcot. There's an entrance from the World Showcase that allows you to go in and out. It's perfect when you want to extend your day while walking around Epcot. There's some really great restaurants too! I recommend the Trattoria al Forno for dinner and then a stop at BoardWalk Ice Cream for dessert! You can access the skyliner from this area as well making the Boardwalk resort accessible from a few other resorts AND Hollywood Studios as well! How perfect!
And how amazing is this setting for Baby H's first birthday!? He was the sweetest and loved the camera attention... every once in a while! Ha! However, that's what makes Disney's Boardwalk Resort a great location for all kinds of family sessions while on vacation. So if the kiddos start getting fussy, walking to a new location is easy and quick to do. Having a variety of backgrounds to use while never having to get into a car makes all the resorts a perfect setting. Plus you have the Disney charm all around you!

Protip: The winter holiday season is a great time to schedule your photo session at Disney's Boardwalk Resort because not only will the weather be absolutely perfect in the afternoon, but you're close enough to Epcot and can experience the International Festival of the Holidays! This is my favorite time of year at the Disney parks! Definitely the best time to visit!
